Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robby Nikson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robby Nikson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Kowalski! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab by Nikson. Kowalski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nikson's waist but Nikson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kowalski off to one side. Kowalski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Nikson doesn't manage to clinch there - Kowalski circles away.
Nikson wants to clinch up but Kowalski keeps it at a distance. Robby Nikson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nikson wants to clinch. Kowalski closes the distance and clinches up with Nikson, looking for a takedown. Kowalski pushes Nikson against the cage but Nikson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Robby Nikson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Kowalski. Nikson jabs Kowalski to the body, keeping him at a distance. Nikson wants to clinch up but Kowalski keeps it at a distance. Nikson has Kowalski up against the cage in a clinch.
Nikson lands an uppercut. Nikson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Kowalski keeps control of Nikson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Nikson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kowalski drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nikson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Nikson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Nikson with a body punch. A glancing blow. Nice shot by Nikson. Nikson tries to clinch and Kowalski counters with a nice double leg into guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Nikson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kowalski controls the pace. Kowalski lands a couple of decent looking shots. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kowalski is in close to Nikson's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kowalski wants to control from the top but Nikson keeps moving. Kowalski pushing down on Nikson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Nikson taking some punishment here, with Kowalski in his half guard. Nikson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Nikson tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kowalski in particular looking to stall. Kowalski works his way into side control. Kowalski landing a few strikes. Kowalski lands a few punches from side control. Kowalski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nikson keeps working. Nikson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kowalski on the ground. Kowalski works to advance to full mount. Nikson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Kowalski has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Nikson's face.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kowalski raining down shots from the mount! Kowalski lands a big shot to the head and Nikson winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jack Kowalski! Jack Kowalski decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
