The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Davis is defended easily by Ruffa.
Nice sprawl there from Ruffa as Davis shoots in.

Ruffa closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Davis's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ruffa tries to free his leg and advance position but Davis is retaining full guard.
Ruffa throws a big right hand that misses.
Ruffa is looking to work some ground and pound but Davis has wrist control.
Ruffa stands up over Davis, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ruffa looks up at the clock and then as Davis takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ruffa smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Check out the look on Ruffa's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

A big shot lands for Ruffa! That's hurt Davis! Will he recover? Ruffa fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
