Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Ernesto Bonjasky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hornet Ghost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bonjasky comes to the cage accompanied by -=Fried Day=-. Ghost has chosen Kickboxer as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ernesto Bonjasky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hornet Ghost!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ghost misses with a looping left.
Bonjasky misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ghost scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bonjasky in his tracks.
Bonjasky moves out of range of the strikes.
Ghost takes a swing at Bonjasky's ribcage but misses.
Ghost thows a body shot but no joy.
Ghost will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bonjasky pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bonjasky keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ghost punishes Bonjasky's body with a nice straight punch.
Ghost keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Ernesto Bonjasky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ghost avoids a punch combination nicely.
A swing and a miss from Ghost.
Bonjasky takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A solid leg kick lands there for Bonjasky.

Bonjasky throws a leg kick but Ghost sees it coming and moves out of range.
Bonjasky takes one to the chin there.
Bonjasky throws the kick towards the body but Ghost avoids it.
Bonjasky throws a push kick but Ghost slaps the foot to one side.
Bonjasky throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ghost.
Ghost moves out of range of the body kick.
Bonjasky lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice jab there from Ghost.
Ernesto Bonjasky is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ghost connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Ghost throws a leg kick but Bonjasky sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Ghost swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bonjasky cracks Ghost with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ghost misses with a left hand
enabling Bonjasky to counter with a crisp jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bonjasky slips under a jab from Ghost.
The crowd cheers as Ghost lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bonjasky doesn't seem phased though.

Bonjasky throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Ghost throws a hook but Bonjasky blocks it.
Ghost works Bonjasky's body with a nice hook.
Ghost connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
No joy there for Bonjasky, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ghost fakes the leg kick and cracks Bonjasky in the body.
Bonjasky pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bonjasky swats away the attempt to clinch by Ghost.
Ghost misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bonjasky takes a jab right on the kisser.
Ghost scores with a hook to the body. Bonjasky takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
The fighters circling - Ghost throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bonjasky misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ghost.
Ghost tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
An inside leg kick from Bonjasky misses.
Ghost throws a lazy right hand but Bonjasky sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bonjasky lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ghost at a distance.
Bonjasky doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Bonjasky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ghost swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ghost tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bonjasky swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fighters circling - Ghost throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bonjasky drops his guard momentarily, allowing Ghost to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Bonjasky! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Ghost takes it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Hornet Ghost!
Hornet Ghost decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
