26 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vladimir Arlovski! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Colbert ducks right into an uppercut from Arlovski. Arlovski forces Colbert back against the cage and clinches. Colbert doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Colbert throws an elbow but it's blocked.
A right hook to the body lands for Arlovski.
Colbert tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Colbert misses with a punch on the inside.
Arlovski creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Colbert goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Colbert. Colbert lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Arlovski backwards. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Arlovski takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Arlovski has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Colbert after a bit of a struggle. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Colbert lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Vladimir Arlovski has been cut. Colbert creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Colbert lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Colbert lands an elbow just above Arlovski 's eye. Arlovski is trying to maintain a safe position but Colbert gets an underhook and turns Arlovski into the cage. Arlovski lands with a left to the head. Arlovski blocks a punch to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. A right handed body shot lands from Colbert.
Colbert lands a left hand that snaps the head of Arlovski backwards. Arlovski fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Nice elbow from Colbert. Colbert misses with a short punch on the inside. Colbert digs a right hand into Arlovski's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Arlovski's gas tank. Arlovski looks gassed! Arlovski stalling in the clinch but Colbert improves position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A knee to the head by Colbert.
Colbert lands a body shot. A short left from Colbert. Colbert tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A short right hand to the side of the head by Colbert. Arlovski avoids a wild elbow strike from Colbert. Colbert tries to work over Arlovski's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Colbert throws an elbow that misses.
Colbert lands a right hand that snaps the head of Arlovski backwards. Arlovski breaks the clinch.
Arlovski takes a swing at Colbert's ribcage but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colbert throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Colbert bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Arlovski's head backwards. Arlovski goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Arlovski takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Colbert lands with a nice body punch. Colbert takes a jab right on the kisser.
Arlovski on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Colbert. Colbert obviously looking to wear him down.
Colbert throws a right and a left that both miss. Arlovski fails to land with a series of punches.
Colbert lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Arlovski ducks into an uppercut from Colbert and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cain Colbert! Cain Colbert very nearly forgot to thank TFP Graphics - Pit Inc amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name.
