Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Swag In A Bag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bag has chosen American bad ass as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Swag In A Bag!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Bag. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bag throws an off balance right hand
and Gracie counters with a stiff right hand.
Bag jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bag throws a body punch but Gracie moves out of range.
Swag In A Bag seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bag. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bag scores with a sloppy right hand. Gracie should have avoided that one.
Gracie blocks a jab.
Gracie tries to score with a low kick but Bag moves his leg out of the way.
Bag misses with a low kick.
Bag keeps the fight on the outside.
Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Bag counters with a straight right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bag connects with a jab.
Bag throws a hook but Gracie blocks it.
Bag thows a body shot but no joy.
Gracie lands with a kick to the temple. Bag shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Gracie uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bag.
Gracie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bag was well out of range. Poor timing from Gracie.
Bag fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gracie manages to avoid it.
Bag just misses with a punch to the body.
Gracie keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bag.
No joy there for Gracie, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gracie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bag pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bag throws a body punch but Gracie moves out of range.
Bag misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Gracie counters with a nice kick to the body.
Gracie on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Bag throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gracie sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bag swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Bag does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Swag In A Bag is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A jab from Gracie finds it's way through Bag's defenses.
Donk. Gracie catches Bag right on the button with a cross.
Bag connects with a body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bag throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Bag!
Donk. Bag catches Gracie right on the button with a cross.
Gracie connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bag. Bag circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Bag throws a sloppy body shot
and Gracie counters with a straight right hand.
A combination from Gracie does no damage.
Bag moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A slow jab from Bag misses its intended target.
Gracie fails to land the takedown.

Gracie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gracie scoring with punches and elbows.

Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gracie lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bag down.
Gracie misses with the ground and pound.
Bag wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
An elbow from Gracie crashes against the mat.

Gracie is trying to get an arm triangle but Bag is defending well.
Bag is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Swag In A Bag dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Bag ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gracie moves away.
Swag In A Bag seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt - Bag sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bag throws a head kick that misses.
Bag fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gracie manages to avoid it.

Gracie looking to score a takedown here. Bag is defending well but Gracie drives through and ends up in Bag's guard.

Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Bag slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.
Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Bag is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bag's guard.
Bag is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gracie is controlling him.
Gracie throwing strikes but missing.
Gracie missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Bag really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gracie won't allow Bag to get back to his feet.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Bag is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie advances to half guard.
Gracie winds up and cracks Bag with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bag is trying to stand.
Gracie not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Gracie thows a huge punch but Bag dodges it nicely.
Gracie thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Gracie uses his free foot to push down on Bag's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bag.
Gracie fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bag wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Gracie unloading with bombs!
Gracie wants to control the pace but Bag is squirming around nicely.

Gracie goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Bag turns into him and now he's in Gracie's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bag is aware though and is defending well.
Bag wanted to stand there but Gracie had control of the position.

Gracie is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Bag rolls with it to try and escape but Gracie cranks on the arm and Bag is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ryan Gracie!
