Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tariq Hassan Hussain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frederick Tattum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tariq Hassan Hussain has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tariq Hassan Hussain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frederick Tattum!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Hussain misses.
Tattum tries for a takedown but Hussain sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Tattum counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Tattum dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Tattum's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tattum fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Tattum uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hussain.
Hussain throws a poor cross that misses
and Tattum makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hussain lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.


It looks like Frederick Tattum has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Tattum feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tattum is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hussain might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Tattum controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Tattum stops Hussain from standing up.
Tattum slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Tattum stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hussain swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Frederick Tattum was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Hussain leaves Tattum with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tattum shoots in for a double leg but Hussain sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Tattum counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Tattum.

Tattum gets control of Hussain's arms and successfully pulls guard. Tattum will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Tattum is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hussain wants to stand and escape but instead Tattum has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Hussain takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Tattum lands a slapping body shot.

Tattum has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hussain can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Tattum is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Hussain rather than just go for the knockout.

Hussain is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Tattum's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

You get the feeling that Hussain really doesn't like being in this position too much.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Tattum looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Tattum is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hussain can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
