Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richard Vassallo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vulcan Raven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Vassallo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vulcan Raven! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Vassallo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Raven gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Raven tries to land a knee to the head but Vassallo blocks with his arms.
Raven with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Vassallo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Raven is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Raven tries a knee to the head but Vassallo blocks it.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Vassallo. Raven is fighting off a takedown attempt but Vassallo is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Raven to the mat. Raven regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Vassallo scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Vassallo won't allow Raven to get back to his feet. Vassallo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Raven can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Vassallo controls the pace. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
That's one minute gone in the round. Vassallo prevents Raven from getting back to his feet. Vassallo forces his way into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Raven is trying to stand up here but Vassallo is controlling him well. Raven has hold of Vassallo's hands but Vassallo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Vassallo is taking a breather. Raven says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Vassallo scoring with strikes to the body and head. Vassallo winds up and cracks Raven with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vassallo trying to control the pace. Vassallo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Vassallo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Raven is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Vassallo scores with a couple of nice shots. Vassallo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Raven really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vassallo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vassallo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Raven for as long as he can get away with.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Vassallo slips a nice elbow through Raven's hands, connecting with Raven's forehead. Vassallo passes to side control. Vassallo landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Vassallo scoring with punches from side control. Vassallo scores with a couple of short elbows. Vassallo controlling the position. Vassallo scoring with punches and elbows. Raven gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Vassallo raining down shots from the mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Vassallo landing strikes, looking to finish! Vassallo has isolated one of Raven's arms. Raven looking to fight him off but Vassallo twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
