Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hans Kytke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simun Stijena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simun Stijena is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hans Kytke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Simun Stijena! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stijena moves into the clinch successfully.
Kytke goes for a takedown attempt but Stijena pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Stijena pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stijena tries a head kick but it misses.
Kytke shoots in but no luck this time. A jab from Stijena does it's job there. Stijena is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kytke blocks a head kick by Stijena.
Kytke drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Kytke is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kytke stops Stijena from standing up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kytke swats away the attempt to clinch by Stijena. Kytke fails with an attempt to clinch.

Simun Stijena seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stijena misses with a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Stijena scores with a head kick. Kytke tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Kytke fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kytke dives in and scores a takedown into Stijena's guard. Kytke's corner is telling him to maintain position. Kytke might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Stijena is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Stijena tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Stijena digs a good hook to Kytke's body.

Kytke closes the distance and pushes Stijena back into the ropes. Stijena has had enough of the clinch but Kytke keeps him there for the moment. Stijena unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kytke lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Stijena is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kytke is defending well for now. Stijena wants to break the clinch but can't.

Stijena tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kytke avoids it. Stijena wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kytke has him pressed against the ropes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kytke has Stijena pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Stijena manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Stijena tries to land knees in the clinch but Kytke avoids the damage to the body. Stijena is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kytke is defending well for now. Stijena lands a knee to the head.
Stijena is trying to force a seperation but Kytke has the dominant position. Kytke gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Stijena regains guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kytke is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Stijena is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kytke is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simun Stijena dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kytke gets the takedown into side control. Stijena is pushing Kytke's head away, looking to escape. Kytke manages to hold on to the position though. Kytke slows the pace down. Stijena is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Stijena being controlled for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hans Kytke. Stijena is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kytke shoots in looking for a takedown but Stijena manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kytke's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Stijena lands a head kick!

Kytke closes the distance and clinches up with Stijena, looking for a takedown. Kytke pushes Stijena against the ropes but Stijena circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Stijena did well to prevent Kytke getting side control. Stijena tries to kick Kytke off but Kytke keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Hans Kytke wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Kytke has Stijena up against the ropes in a clinch.
Kytke keeps control of Stijena as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Stijena throws an elbow that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Stijena wants to stand but Kytke is controlling the position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Simun Stijena hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Kytke steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Stijena. That one must have hurt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stijena throws a head kick that misses. Stijena tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Stijena keeps the fight on the outside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hans Kytke dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Kytke tries to clinch up but Stijena circles away and keeps his distance. Stijena throws a sloppy head kick and Kytke moves out of range easily. Kytke shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stijena pinned against the ropes. Stijena gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Stijena lands a head kick. Kytke smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Kytke gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Stijena tries to break the clinch but Kytke is controlling the position. Kytke is looking for a takedown. Kytke wants to take the fight to the mat but Stijena manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hans Kytke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kytke is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Stijena pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Stijena is trying to push Kytke away but Kytke has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Kytke has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Stijena after a bit of a struggle. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Stijena wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kytke has him pressed against the ropes. Stijena landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Stijena is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Stijena bucks up and tries to throw Kytke off but instead Kytke has got his back! Stijena has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hans Kytke overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kytke is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Kytke has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Stijena is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stijena is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kytke gets his way!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Simun Stijena. I think Stijena has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
