The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jazz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Murphy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Murphy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jazz is just riding it out for now. Murphy eventually gives up the hold.

Jazz feints and then cracks Murphy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Murphy down.
Jazz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Murphy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jazz goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Murphy is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Murphy throws a right hand that Jazz ducks under and follows up with a left that Jazz also avoids with ease.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alex Murphy.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Murphy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
