The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Newman tries to land a front kick but Teller steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Newman tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Teller counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Teller.
Newman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Teller is controlling him.
Teller wants to pass the guard but Newman is keeping the position.
Teller sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Newman's guard.
Teller is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Newman!
Teller is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Newman has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Teller moves to take his opponent's back.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Newman is trying to defend against the choke here but Teller has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Teller Tightens the hold and Newman taps out furiously! Teller displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
