Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chong HO (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). HO comes to the cage accompanied by I am Everything- Tech N9ne. Chong HO has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dean Pope!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

HO closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pope's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
HO trying to control the position from guard on top but Pope is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Pope is looking for a triangle but HO pushes his legs off easily.

Pope has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. HO is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pope.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pope is trying to escape the position but HO is controlling the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Chong HO wasn't doing enough on the ground.
HO tries to close the distance and clinch but Pope swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

HO closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pope did well to prevent HO getting side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
