Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandr Progbeniak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roy Savage will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aleksandr Progbeniak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roy Savage! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Progbeniak as Savage shoots in. Some bone on bone action there as Progbeniak checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. No joy there for Progbeniak, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Savage stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Savage wants it to stay on the feet. Savage throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Progbeniak has a takedown stuffed. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Progbeniak. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aleksandr Progbeniak. That's going to take a lot out of him. Savage throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Progbeniak. Progbeniak dives in and grabs Savage's left leg, looking for a takedown. Savage pushes down on Progbeniak's head and hops out. Progbeniak has a takedown stuffed. Horrible takedown by Progbeniak or perhaps it was just good defense by Savage which made him look bad. Progbeniak pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Progbeniak gets in close and instigates a clinch. Progbeniak turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Progbeniak manages to end up in side control. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Progbeniak passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Savage!
That's one minute gone in the round. Progbeniak goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Savage is on top in guard.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Progbeniak. Progbeniak misses with a takedown attempt - Savage sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Progbeniak shoots in for a double leg but Savage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Some wild striking there from Savage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Progbeniak or perhaps it was just good defense by Savage which made him look bad. Savage slaps away a takedown attempt from Progbeniak, before circling back to the center of the mat. Progbeniak is breathing heavily. Savage has a takedown stuffed. Progbeniak fails with a takedown attempt. Savage waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Progbeniak. Savage displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Progbeniak. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Savage shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Progbeniak sprawls well. Progbeniak wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Savage gets slowly back to his feet. Savage shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Progbeniak defends it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Progbeniak feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Progbeniak trying to control but Savage is working from the bottom. Savage is trying to control the position but Progbeniak postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Savage keeping moving, preventing Progbeniak from controlling successfully. Savage is looking to stand up but Progbeniak isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Aleksandr Progbeniak just wasn't active enough. Progbeniak checks a leg kick. Progbeniak misses with a hook. Savage ducked under it nicely. Savage throws a series of punches but Progbeniak moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Progbeniak shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Savage defends it nicely. Progbeniak does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Savage swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Progbeniak looks for the body kick but Savage saw that one coming. Progbeniak changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Savage tries to avoid it but Progbeniak manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Savage to the ground. Savage escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Savage tries to bum rush Progbeniak with a series of wild strikes but Progbeniak uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Savage swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Progbeniak. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Savage throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Progbeniak fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Savage sprawls well initially but Progbeniak persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Savage is looking to escape. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Progbeniak is trying for a kimura here. Savage looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Progbeniak wins by kimura!
