Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zach Irracha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cice Salace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zach Irracha had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Zach Irracha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Cice Salace!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irracha keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Irracha looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Salace shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Irracha's guard.
Salace wants to pass the guard but Irracha is keeping the position.
Salace lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Irracha preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Salace trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Salace makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Salace drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Salace jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Salace wants to pass the guard but Irracha is keeping the position.

Salace postures up in Irracha's guard and throws a big left but Irracha blocks it.
Salace with a flurry of punches that miss.
Salace sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Irracha's guard.
Salace throwing shots but Irracha is blocking nicely.
Salace has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Salace is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Salace is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Irracha defends it well.

Salace is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Salace seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Salace working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Salace not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Salace is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Irracha has managed to free his arm - good work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Irracha avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Salace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cice Salace dominated that round.
That's time! Irracha's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Irracha displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Salace.
Salace shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Irracha defends it nicely.
Nice defenses there by Irracha.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Irracha misses with a wild combination.
Irracha throws a sloppy head kick and Salace moves out of range easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Irracha pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Salace shoots in and drives through. Irracha sprawls well.
Zach Irracha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cice Salace.
Irracha tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Oooh a lovely combination from Salace sends Irracha down but not out. Salace dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Zach Irracha has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Salace tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Oh Irracha is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Salace in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

The strikes coming from Salace are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Salace creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Irracha sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Salace connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Irracha some visible discomfort.
Salace in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Irracha takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Cice Salace has got the better of the ground game so far.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Salace has hold of Irracha's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Irracha seems comfortable defending it but Salace has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Irracha is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Irracha is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Salace couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Cice Salace!
After winning the bout, Cice Salace thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
