Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sharp Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brenden Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott tries a head kick but it misses.
Abbott uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dick.
Abbott feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Dick's calf.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Abbott accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Brenden Abbott hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Abbott connects with a leg kick. Dick looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
