Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Byrd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joca Fenomeno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joca Fenomeno is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Byrd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joca Fenomeno!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fenomeno shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Byrd counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fenomeno's guard now.
Byrd pushes down on Fenomeno's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Byrd is trying to work for a kimura but Fenomeno is defending well.
Byrd blocks the strikes from Fenomeno.
Fenomeno missing with punches from the bottom.
Byrd thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fenomeno's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Byrd uses his free foot to push down on Fenomeno's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fenomeno.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fenomeno has left one of his arms exposed and Byrd doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Fenomeno screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
