Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dieter Berger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Berger's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Cheeseburger In Paradise. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dieter Berger! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Duran! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berger shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Duran is trying to defend but Berger finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Duran regains full guard. Nicely done. Berger trying to control but Duran is working from the bottom. Berger postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Duran looking to control.
Duran wants to stand and escape but Berger is having none of it. Berger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Duran is keeping the position for now. Duran looking to hit a scissor sweep but Berger is one step ahead there. Berger is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Berger has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Duran scores with a jab to the jaw. Berger takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Berger dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Berger tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Duran was well out of range. Poor timing from Berger. Berger closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Duran's guard. Duran manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Berger manages to get himself to full guard.
Berger is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Duran is aware though and is defending well. Duran must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Berger has a closed guard, preventing Duran from standing up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Berger is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Berger pulls Duran in close to prevent any damage. Berger working for a triangle but Duran defends it easily.

Berger gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dieter Berger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Berger closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Duran quickly recovers to half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Duran makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Duran. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Berger missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Berger throwing strikes from guard but Duran blocks nicely. Berger scoring with some ground and pound.

Duran is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Duran passes into side control, despite Berger's attempt to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Berger thows a body shot but no joy. Duran misses with a hook. Berger throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jose Duran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Berger lands with a hook. Duran tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Duran works the jab nicely. Duran takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Nice body punch from Berger. Duran takes a swing at Berger's ribcage but misses. Duran throws out a powerful jab. Berger just misses with a punch to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Duran throws a half hearted mid kick. Berger checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Duran stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Duran wants it to stay on the feet. Duran moves into the clinch. Berger wants to take the fight to the mat but Duran manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Duran tries to throw a body punch but Berger avoids it by throwing Duran back against the cage. Berger is working Duran over against the cage. Berger is looking for a takedown. Duran connects with a nasty looking knee right to Berger's face.

Duran scores with an uppercut up the middle. Berger is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Duran to keep the fight standing. Duran blocks an uppercut.

Duran gets caught flat footed, as Berger shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Berger postures up.

Berger looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Berger looks to land a strike but Duran avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Berger throwing strikes from guard but Duran blocks nicely. Duran avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Duran lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Berger! Berger is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Duran wants to stand but Berger has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Berger is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Duran seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Duran moves into range and clinches up with Berger. Duran can't find room to land a body shot as Berger controls the action.

Berger tries to pull guard but Duran holds him up against the cage and eventually Berger drops back down to his feet.

Duran lands a head shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Berger wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Good shot there by Duran. Berger misses the shot to the body. Duran throws a hook to the side of Berger's head but Berger sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Duran misses with a low kick as Berger jumps back. Berger checks the leg kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nice uppercut lands for Berger. That snapped Duran's head back.
Duran takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Berger stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Duran. Berger blocks a low kick nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

This has been an exciting period of action! Berger swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Duran scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Berger pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Berger takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Duran turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Duran has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Berger fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Berger defending well as Duran loads up on a big left hand. Berger is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Duran has taken the fight to the clinch.
Berger ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Berger no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Berger has a closed guard, preventing Duran from standing up. Berger has his foot on Duran's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Duran works his way back into a safe position though. Berger not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Duran tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Berger is able to avoid easily. Duran throws a chopping leg kick but Berger manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Duran wants to control but Berger postures up. Duran is trying to get back to half guard. Berger is working Duran over with some ground and pound from side control. Berger working away. Berger tries for a kimura but Duran is defending well. Berger tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Duran. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Duran is looking to regain half guard here but Berger keeps moving and retains side control. Berger scoring with punches and elbows.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Berger misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Dieter Berger overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. A lull in the action here as Berger stalls from top position. Berger scoring with punches and elbows. Berger in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Check out the look on Berger's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Duran is rocked! Berger in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Duran looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Berger turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
