Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Hominick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hominick comes to the cage accompanied by Can't be touched. Stout has chosen How we do as his entrance music. Mark Hominick could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Sam Stout's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Hominick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sam Stout! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stout scores with a hook to the body. Hominick takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Hominick tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Hominick keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stout tries to clinch there but Hominick circles away.
Stout looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hominick is fending him off so far but Stout persists. Nope, Hominick circles away and we're back to standing. Stout drives through and clinches with Hominick against the cage.
Stout lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Stout has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hominick avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Hominick can't break the clinch.
Stout misses with an elbow over the top. Hominick throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Stout blocks it with crossed arms. Stout escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stout throws a sloppy head kick and Hominick moves out of range easily. Hominick shoots in and drives through. Stout sprawls well. Hominick darts in and clinches Stout up against the cage. Stout breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hominick rushes Stout and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Hominick tries to land a knee to the head but Stout blocks with his arms.
Hominick lands a shoulder strike. Stout fails to pull guard.
Mark Hominick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Stout. Hominick is trying to break the clinch but Stout has him pressed against the cage. Stout breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hominick scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Stout throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Stout closes the distance and clinches up with Hominick, looking for a takedown. Stout pushes Hominick against the cage but Hominick circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hominick will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stout checks a leg kick nicely. Stout misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Stout lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Stout looks gassed! Hominick throws a nice looking combination but Stout bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Danga de danga de dang - Stout scores with a four punch combination!
Hominick is rocked! The fight stays on the outside here - Hominick looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Oh Hominick is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hominick looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hominick seems to have got his legs back now. Stout wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Stout wants to improve his position but instead Hominick has moved into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hominick trying to control the pace. Stout wants to get back to full guard. Stout tries to kick Hominick off but Hominick keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Stout keeping hold of Hominick's head, controlling as best he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hominick perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Stout has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hominick is working away from the top position though. Stout is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Stout is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hominick performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hominick wants to take a breather but Stout is having none of it. Stout tries to roll over but Hominick keeps him under control. Stout has one foot on Hominick's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Hominick throws a leg kick but Stout moved away. Stout bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sam Stout will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Hominick has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hominick there as he acknowledges the shot. Hominick avoids the body shot from Stout.
Stout is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hominick swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Stout counters with a left and a right that stings Hominick. Hominick fails with the takedown. Hominick misses with the combination.
Mark Hominick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stout throws a head kick but Hominick moves out of range.
Stout throws a one two combo.
Mark Hominick is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Stout keeps the fight on the outside. Stout tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hominick swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hominick scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Hominick shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Stout trying to control the position.
Hominick is stalling in the full guard. Stout is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stout has a closed guard, preventing Hominick from standing up. Stout looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hominick is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hominick controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hominick wants to control from the top but Stout keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stout pushes Hominick off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Stout fails with an attempt to clinch.
Stout fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hominick fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Stout. Hominick shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stout as he jumps to the side. Hominick shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stout but Stout pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Hominick. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stout moves in looking to clinch but Hominick pushes him off. Stout moves out of range as Hominick throws a body kick.
Stout throws a head kick that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stout avoids the head kick by Hominick.
Stout wants to clinch. Hominick wants to clinch up but Stout keeps it at a distance. Stout has Hominick up against the cage in a clinch.
Stout tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Hominick breaks the clinch.
Stout with a hook. Stout dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Hominick has had enough and taps out.
