Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pegg Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Machdoor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machdoor has chosen AVICI - LEVELS as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost is looking to slow Machdoor down with leg kicks.
Nice sprawl there from Frost as Machdoor shoots in.

Machdoor looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Frost!
Machdoor sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Machdoor throws some wild stikes that Frost manages to avoid easily.

Machdoor jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Frost is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Frost and Machdoor has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Machdoor wants to take a breather but Frost manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Machdoor.

Machdoor is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Frost is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Frost has escaped and now he's on top!
Machdoor is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Machdoor is looking to stand up but Frost isn't so interested in that idea.

Machdoor has his foot on Frost's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Frost works his way back into a safe position though.

Machdoor wants to stand and escape but Frost is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Machdoor bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Frost's guard.

Machdoor misses with a few strikes there.
Frost throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Machdoor avoids the body shot from Frost.
Machdoor is looking to chop away at Frost's legs.
Machdoor takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Lyoto Machdoor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Machdoor connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Machdoor shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Machdoor was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Machdoor might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Frost kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Machdoor cracks Frost with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Frost throws an overhand right that lands on Machdoor's shoulder, as Machdoor tries to avoid the shot.
Frost closes the distance looking to clinch
and Machdoor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Frost will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Machdoor.
Machdoor misses with a wild combination.
Machdoor throws a right and a left that Frost avoids nicely.

Machdoor fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Frost on the side of the head.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Machdoor tries to pull guard but Frost holds him up against the cage and eventually Machdoor drops back down to his feet.

Pegg Frost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lyoto Machdoor.

A frustrated look appears on Machdoor's face as he tries to break the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Frost takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
