Bautin comes to the cage accompanied by Lobotomy by The Ramones. Jitsu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Nikkfurie- The a la Menthe kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Sergei Bautin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jiu Jitsu's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sergei Bautin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jiu Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bautin swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jitsu.

Jitsu shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jitsu was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Jitsu jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bautin is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bautin and Jitsu has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Bautin gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Jitsu wants to control but Bautin is keeping him busy.
Bautin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bautin.
Jitsu looking to sit in guard and control but Bautin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jitsu looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Jitsu has an active guard here but Bautin has managed to pass into half guard.
Jitsu is staying active underneath Bautin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jitsu has hold of Bautin's hands but Bautin slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jitsu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bautin pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Bautin thows a huge punch but Jitsu dodges it nicely.

Jiu Jitsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Bautin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jitsu shoots in for a takedown but Bautin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jitsu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sergei Bautin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jiu Jitsu.
Jitsu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bautin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bautin misses with a body shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jitsu fails to land the takedown.
Bautin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Bautin counters with a nice body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sergei Bautin dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Bautin drops Jitsu with a beautiful combination! Jitsu stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bautin is looking for the KO!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bautin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jitsu manages to avoid it.
Jitsu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jitsu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sergei Bautin is winning the standup battle so far.
Bautin lands with a hook. Jitsu tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Bautin misses with a low kick.
Jitsu blocks a jab.
Jitsu feints a jab promting Bautin to slip. Jitsu then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bautin slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Jitsu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jitsu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bautin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jitsu somewhat.
Sergei Bautin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jiu Jitsu.
Jitsu ducks under a wild hook from Bautin.

Jiu Jitsu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jitsu shoots in but Bautin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jitsu is breathing heavily.
Bautin misses with a straight right.
Jitsu closes the distance and clinches up with Bautin, looking for a takedown. Jitsu pushes Bautin against the cage but Bautin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jitsu takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Bautin looks to score with a jab to the body but Jitsu is just out of range.
Jitsu shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bautin as he jumps to the side.
Bautin throws a jab when Jitsu was well out of range.
Jitsu drops his hands momentarily and Bautin takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jitsu takes one on the chin but seems OK.


Jitsu is rocked!
Bautin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jitsu.
Jitsu is still on wobbly legs! Can Bautin finish him?
Bautin misses with a straight right.
Jitsu seems to have recovered his senses.
Jitsu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bautin.
Jitsu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bautin is fending him off so far but Jitsu persists. Nope, Bautin circles away and we're back to standing.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Bautin here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

and Bautin counters with a stiff right hand.
Sergei Bautin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jitsu keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bautin.

A nice inside leg kick there by Bautin. That's going to slow Jitsu down.

Bautin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jitsu sprawling to the canvas! Jitsu rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bautin finish him?!
Jitsu tries to bum rush Bautin with a series of wild strikes but Bautin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bautin cracks Jitsu with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
