These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tyson Pearson!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearson tries to clinch up
and Morgan counters with a slapping leg kick.
Good standup being displayed there by Pearson as he connects with a hook.
Pearson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Morgan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Morgan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Pearson is not content to let Morgan control the position.

Pearson wants to improve his position but Morgan is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pearson is staying active underneath Morgan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Pearson has his foot on Morgan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Morgan works his way back into a safe position though.

Pearson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Morgan is looking to escape.

Pearson throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Morgan has his hands clasped together but Pearson breaks the hold and Morgan is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Pearson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tyson Pearson!
Tyson Pearson very nearly forgot to thank Outkast Clothing Line amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
