Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Druff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Glen Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nelson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nelson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Nelson wants to take a breather but Druff is having none of it.

Druff is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nelson pulls his head out easily.

Nelson wants to work for an arm triangle but Druff is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Nelson is keen to just control but Druff is a slippery customer.

Druff moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nelson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Nelson is looking to advance position but Druff has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Druff looking to secure an arm triangle but Nelson defends it well.
Druff wants to take his opponent's back but Nelson doesn't allow it.

Druff has hold of Nelson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nelson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Druff can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nelson is looking to escape.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nelson tries to reverse the position but Druff maintains control.
Nelson tries to hold on but Druff postures up.
Druff tries to control but Nelson wriggling away.

Druff moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Nelson has worked his arm free - good work by Nelson!

Druff goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Nelson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Druff's guard! Nice work there by Nelson!

Druff isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Nelson stacks Druff on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Nelson!
Druff takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Druff is not content to let Nelson control the position.
Druff is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Nelson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Druff tries to lock up and control but Nelson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Druff is squirming around, avoiding Nelson's attempts to control the action.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Nelson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Druff's waist but Druff gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nelson off to one side.

Druff lands a nice shot that snaps Nelson's head back.
Nelson ducks right into an uppercut from Druff.
Druff scores with a jab. Nelson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Nelson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Druff avoids it really well and circles away.
Nelson misses with a low kick.
Dan Druff is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Nelson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nelson showed some decent athleticism there.
Nelson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Druff keeps working.

Nelson uses his free foot to push down on Druff's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Druff.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Druff has his foot on Nelson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nelson works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
