Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chose Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alek Krushnov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Chose Kimura has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chose Kimura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alek Krushnov! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krushnov on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Kimura tries to sprawl but Krushnov drives through with a takedown into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Krushnov in particular looking to stall. Kimura is trying to get back to full guard. Krushnov performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Alek Krushnov was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kimura tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Krushnov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kimura won't be happy with that.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Krushnov stalls from top position. Let's hope that Krushnov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kimura tries to escape but Krushnov is in control. Krushnov advances to full mount. Krushnov controlling the pace for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kimura tries to hold on but Krushnov pushes him away. Krushnov controlling the position easily from mount.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alek Krushnov. Kimura shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Krushnov but Krushnov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krushnov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kimura fails with the takedown. Krushnov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Krushnov is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Krushnov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Krushnov perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alek Krushnov dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Chose Kimura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kimura fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Krushnov avoids it really well and circles away. Krushnov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Krushnov is stalling in the full guard. Krushnov passes Kimura's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Krushnov stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krushnov uses his free foot to push down on Kimura's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kimura. Krushnov controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krushnov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Alek Krushnov was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kimura tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Krushnov moves into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krushnov keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kimura's efforts to push away. Krushnov is trying to break the clinch but Kimura is controlling him. A battle for position here, against the cage. Kimura wants to break free but Krushnov has control.
Krushnov breaks the clinch.
Kimura tries to clinch but fails miserably and Krushnov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kimura's guard now. Krushnov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Krushnov is pushing down on Kimura's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kimura is fighting to maintain full guard but Krushnov has managed to sneak the leg through. Still in half guard, Krushnov seems content to control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Krushnov is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Krushnov controlling the position easily from mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Krushnov is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kimura can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alek Krushnov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Kimura pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Krushnov moves into the clinch. Krushnov has Kimura pressed against the cage, preventing Kimura from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Kimura missing with knees to the body.
Kimura manages to pull guard.
Krushnov stays in close to Kimura's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Alek Krushnov has got the better of the ground game so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alek Krushnov. Kimura connects with a high kick. Krushnov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kimura's guard. Kimura being controlled here, momentarily.

Kimura shoots in looking for a takedown. Krushnov tries to sprawl out of it but Kimura keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Krushnov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kimura fails with the takedown and Krushnov counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Krushnov works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krushnov controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Chose Kimura has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Alek Krushnov has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Krushnov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kimura's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Krushnov stays in close to Kimura's body and controls the position. Krushnov gets to his feet - Kimura follows without any prompting.
And that's the end of the fight! Alek Krushnov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Krushnov winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
