Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joe Satriani!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Satriani throws a wild body kick that Gunn sees coming a mile off.
Satriani tries a head kick but it misses.
Horrible takedown by Gunn or perhaps it was just good defense by Satriani which made him look bad.
Gunn fails with the takedown.
Gunn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Satriani.
Satriani stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Satriani wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Martin Gunn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Satriani stuffs the takedown attempt from Gunn. Gunn gets slowly back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Satriani.
Satriani throws a sloppy head kick and Gunn moves out of range easily.
Gunn is trying hard to land a takedown here. Satriani sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Gunn doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Satriani finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Gunn is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Satriani throws a sloppy head kick and Gunn moves out of range easily.
Satriani misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Satriani scores with a spinning back kick!

Satriani lands a big head kick that sends Gunn tumbling to the mat! Satriani takes a step backwards and waves Gunn back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Gunn is rocked!


It looks like Martin Gunn has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Satriani tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Oh Gunn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gunn avoids the head kick by Satriani.
Satriani lets loose with a powerful body kick. Gunn will feel that in the morning.
Satriani feints and then cracks Gunn's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gunn down.
Satriani misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gunn blocks a head kick by Satriani.
Satriani throws a head kick but Gunn moves out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Satriani. No joy for Gunn on that attempt.
Satriani drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Gunn right on the button. Gunn goes down! Satriani follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Satriani gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Satriani!
Joe Satriani spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
