Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Martins closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Martins fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Martins persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Nice strikes from Martins there.
Martins wants to stand up but Silva has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Martins controlling the pace.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Martins stops Silva from getting back to his feet.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Anderson Silva hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Silva connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Martins momentarily.
Martins shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Silva has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Martins is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Silva.

Silva is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Martins's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Silva wants to get back to his feet.

Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Martins decides to stand and escape the position.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
Martins scores with a takedown into Silva's guard.
Martins cracks Silva with a solid left hand.

Martins stays in close to Silva's body and controls the position.
Martins lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Martins wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.

Silva is in trouble now - Martins has advanced to mount!
Martins lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Silva hang on?
Martins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Martins connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Silva is working to get back to half guard.
Silva flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Martins lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Silva is rocked!
Martins is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Silva can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Silva is still in real trouble! Can Martins finish him?
Martins lands with some strikes.
Silva reaches up to try and pull Martins in and control his posture, but Martins latches on to an arm and pivots quickly for an armbar! Silva taps out and this one is all over!
