Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abro Brodan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Whiskey Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Piano has been drinking- Tom Waits. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Abro Brodan! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Whiskey Johnson! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Johnson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Johnson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Brodan swivels and escapes. Brodan throws a series of punches but Johnson moves out of range. Brodan scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Johnson tries to clinch but Brodan moves out of range. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Abro Brodan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Whiskey Johnson. A left and a right from Brodan both land. Nice combination. Excellent takedown into side control there by Johnson. Brodan is pushing Johnson's head away, looking to escape. Johnson manages to hold on to the position though. Johnson trying to control the action but Brodan is working from the bottom.

He has the arm isolated but Brodan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Brodan is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Johnson asserts his dominance and retains side control. Brodan trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Johnson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Brodan goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Excellent takedown into side control there by Johnson. Johnson looks gassed!

Johnson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Brodan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brodan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Johnson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Johnson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Brodan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Johnson is proving hard to escape from.

Johnson is landing with some decent strikes but Brodan is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Brodan trying desperately to get to his feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Abro Brodan will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Brodan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Brodan jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brodan's waist but Brodan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
