Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Hoft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Hoft looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hoft looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Penn manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Hoft won't allow Penn to sweep him here.
Hoft trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hoft is working Penn over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Penn has hold of Hoft's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hoft manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hoft is looking to improve his position but Penn isn't that keen on the idea.

Penn is landing with some decent strikes but Hoft is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Penn wants to stand but Hoft is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

Hoft prevents Penn from getting a body triangle.
Hoft might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

You can see the frustration on Hoft's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Penn tries to clinch but Hoft moves out of range.
Penn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hoft tries to avoid it but Penn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hoft to the ground. Hoft escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hoft manages to reverse the position and now he's in Penn's guard. Nice work there by Hoft.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Penn decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hoft tries to roll over but Penn keeps him under control.
