Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gomi Bakanori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasara Hai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bakanori comes to the cage accompanied by Robinson. On his way into the cage it seems that Gomi Bakanori has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Gomi Bakanori seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hai tries to sprawl but Bakanori drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Hai moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bakanori preventing the sweep.
Hai is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Bakanori looking to pass the guard.
Hai is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hai working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bakanori.

Hai is looking for a triangle but Bakanori pushes his legs off easily.
Hai trying to keep a closed guard but Bakanori is proving a slippery customer.
Bakanori working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bakanori throwing strikes from guard but Hai blocks nicely.
Bakanori has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Hai is looking to sinch up a triangle. Bakanori throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hai's body to avoid the submission. Hai has instead reached around Bakanori's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hai arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Vasara Hai!
Vasara Hai decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
