Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Rowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Buddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chad Rowe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Buddell!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowe tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Buddell swivels and escapes.
Rowe looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Rowe with a flurry of punches that miss.
Buddell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rowe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rowe is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rowe won't allow Buddell to sweep him here.
Rowe won't allow Buddell to get back to his feet.
Rowe working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Rowe keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Buddell's head.
Rowe wants to control from the top but Buddell keeps moving.
Rowe throws a big right hand that misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rowe landing with the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rowe decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Rowe rushes Buddell and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Rowe jumps guard.
Buddell postures up and lands a big shot to Rowe's brow.
Rowe wants to stand and escape but Buddell is having none of it.
Buddell chips away with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Buddell has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Rowe to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Buddell is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Rowe pulls down on the head and he's put Buddell to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Chad Rowe!
