Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Budiman Prang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gracie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kickstart. Budiman Prang told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prang ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Prang moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Royce Gracie has been cut.
The fighters circle momentarily. Prang darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Royce Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie is looking to clinch.
Prang on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Prang looks to throw the jab but Gracie is out of range.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Prang paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Gracie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Prang sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gracie somewhat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Prang wants to stand but Gracie is controlling the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Prang can do anything to dispel that myth.

Prang might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Prang fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Gracie to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Gracie looks to clinch but Prang throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Gracie taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
