Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ulysses Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coleman comes into the arena with Got Money blaring out of the sound system. Ulysses Grant has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
33 - 27 - 3, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Coleman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ulysses Grant! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coleman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Grant. Grant throws a right and a left that Coleman avoids nicely. Coleman gets in close and instigates a clinch. Grant lands with a light punch inside. Grant misses with the head strike.
Coleman wants to take the fight to the mat but Grant manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Grant escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

A punch combination from Grant misses. Grant rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Coleman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Grant's guard now. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Grant wants to stand up but Coleman is controlling him. Grant scrambles and gets back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action! No luck with that takedown attempt from Coleman. Coleman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Grant.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Coleman is defended easily by Grant. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Coleman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grant lands a jab-cross combination. Grant fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Coleman manages to avoid it. Grant throws out a leg kick but Coleman moves out of range and Grant only half commits. A nice leg kick lands there from Grant. Grant throws a leg kick that misses. Grant defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Coleman. Grant throws a big shot that misses. Grant throws the kick towards the body but Coleman avoids it. A slow jab from Grant misses its intended target. Grant moves out of range as Coleman strikes. Coleman misses with a takedown attempt - Grant sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Coleman gets a takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Grant is trying to stand.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Coleman frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Coleman scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The referee warns Grant that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Coleman lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Grant hang on? Poor strikes thrown by Coleman there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Grant is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Grant blocking the ground and pound. Coleman cracks Grant with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
