Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lucius Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Buggy Blackbeard!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A nice inside leg kick there by Blackbeard. That's going to slow Black down.
Black with a jab.
Black fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Blackbeard looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Blackbeard tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Black lands with a right hand.
Blackbeard misses with a body kick.
Blackbeard throws a hook to the side of Black's head but Black sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Blackbeard misses with a body shot.
Black throws a push kick but Blackbeard slaps the foot to one side.
Black takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Good shot there by Black.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Black.
Blackbeard looks gassed!
Black misses with a body shot.
No joy there for Black, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Black swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Black stuns Blackbeard with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Blackbeard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Black checks the leg kick nicely there.
Black lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Buggy Blackbeard has been cut.
Blackbeard drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Black rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Blackbeard moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sloppy strikes from Black. Those never looked like landing.
Black digs a good body shot into Blackbeard's ribs.
Black lands a big head kick that sends Blackbeard tumbling to the mat! Black takes a step backwards and waves Blackbeard back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Black moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Blackbeard! Black continues to tee off on Blackbeard, landing with a left and a right! Black connects with a right hand that leaves Blackbeard sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Black!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lucius Black!
