The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fatts fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Van Gundy avoids it really well and circles away.

Fatts darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Fatts thows a huge punch but Van Gundy dodges it nicely.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jay Fatts hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Fatts shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Van Gundy as he jumps to the side.
Fatts is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Van Gundy.

Fatts throws out a loose jab but Van Gundy uses good head movement to avoid it.

Fatts closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Van Gundy to the mat! Van Gundy manages to get full guard.

Fatts is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Stan Van Gundy will probably get the nod.
