Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Romero Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaneeqwa Blackman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Romero Santiago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shaneeqwa Blackman! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blackman drives through and clinches with Santiago against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Blackman - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Blackman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Santiago tries to close the distance and clinch but Blackman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Santiago looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Blackman lands a nice looking body shot.

Santiago shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Blackman as he avoids it easily. Santiago dives in and grabs Blackman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blackman pushes down on Santiago's head and hops out. Blackman throws a head kick that misses. Santiago with a lazy takedown attempt and Blackman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Romero Santiago. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Blackman is posturing up here but Santiago has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Blackman tries to roll out but it's too tight and Blackman has to tap! Slick submission there by Santiago!
