The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Gushiken ducks under a wild hook from Tate.

Tate gets the takedown into side control.
Tate trying to control the position but Gushiken is working away.
Gushiken manages to work his way to half guard, despite Tate's best efforts.

Tate stops Gushiken from getting back to his feet.

Tate shoots in looking for a takedown. Gushiken tries to sprawl out of it but Tate keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gushiken manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Tate shoots in for a takedown but Gushiken shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Tate shoots in looking for a takedown but Gushiken manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tate's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
