Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kimbo Slide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guybrush Threepwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slide's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Marilyn Manson - The Beautiful People. Kimbo Slide has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Guybrush Threepwood!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Slide lands an impressive looking overhand right. Threepwood doesn't seem phased though.

Slide shoots in and bounces Threepwood off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Slide is stalling in the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Threepwood working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Slide.
Threepwood preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Slide will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Slide is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Threepwood is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Slide trying to control the position but Threepwood is working away.

Slide tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Slide has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Slide throws a strike aimed at the side of Threepwood's head but Threepwood avoids it well.
Slide misses with the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Threepwood is trying to control Slide's posture but Slide avoids it.

Slide is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Threepwood has escaped the position, nice work there.

Slide is trying to get an arm triangle but Threepwood is defending well.
Threepwood is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Slide wants to lay and pray for a moment but Threepwood keeps working.
Slide has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Slide looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Slide working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Slide is looking to take a break and control but Threepwood is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Threepwood dodges the ground and pound from Slide.
Slide lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Threepwood down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Slide is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Threepwood knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Slide lands an elbow.
Slide tries to advance position but instead Threepwood slips a leg back in to half guard.

Slide is working for a kimura but Threepwood is defending it quite comfortably.
Threepwood keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Slide missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Slide thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Threepwood's head.
Threepwood is refusing to be controlled, as Slide sits in half guard.
Threepwood is trying to get back to full guard.

Slide is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Threepwood doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Slide.
Slide throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Slide seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kimbo Slide dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Threepwood moves into the clinch successfully.
Slide tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Threepwood smiles and moves away.
Threepwood blocks a low kick nicely.
Threepwood blocks a leg kick.
Kimbo Slide is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A jab lands there for Slide.
Slide takes a swing at Threepwood's ribcage but misses.
Slide throws a push kick but Threepwood slaps the foot to one side.
Nice sprawl there from Threepwood as Slide shoots in.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Threepwood! Slide is out on his feet! Threepwood rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Slide is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Slide is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Guybrush Threepwood!
