Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Fauteux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ohad Everett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Everett has chosen Dont Monkey With Another Mans Monkey as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ohad Everett!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Everett throws an overhand right that lands on Fauteux's shoulder, as Fauteux tries to avoid the shot.
Everett staying out of range there.
Horrible takedown by Everett or perhaps it was just good defense by Fauteux which made him look bad.
Everett will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Everett shoots in and drives through. Fauteux sprawls well.
Jake Fauteux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ohad Everett.

Everett shoots for a double leg takedown but Fauteux sprawls well. He's pushed Everett's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Everett shoots in looking for a takedown. Fauteux tries to sprawl out of it but Everett keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fauteux manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fauteux cracks Everett with a good jab.
It looks like Ohad Everett has been cut.

Fauteux throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Everett.
Everett drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Everett tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Everett has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
BOOM! Fauteux lands a beautiful left hook that drops Everett. Everett tries to recover but Fauteux is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Everett lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Fauteux!
