Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rasheed Hussein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabricio Vai Cavalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vai Cavalo has chosen Tropa de Elite as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rasheed Hussein has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rasheed Hussein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fabricio Vai Cavalo! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vai Cavalo drives through with a takedown into guard. Hussein throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Vai Cavalo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hussein working for a triangle but Vai Cavalo defends it easily.
Vai Cavalo trying to control the position from guard on top but Hussein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vai Cavalo prevents Hussein from getting back to his feet. Vai Cavalo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hussein trying to keep a closed guard but Vai Cavalo is proving a slippery customer.
Hussein looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Vai Cavalo shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hussein actively working from the bottom here. Vai Cavalo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Vai Cavalo seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Despite being in the dominant position, Fabricio Vai Cavalo just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hussein feints and as Vai Cavalo raises his hands in defense, Hussein changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Hussein drops back looking for a leg! Vai Cavalo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vai Cavalo manages to kick Hussein off! Hussein jumps back into Vai Cavalo's guard. Vai Cavalo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Hussein trying to control but Vai Cavalo is working from the bottom. Vai Cavalo seems keen to control Hussein's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hussein content to stall in guard here. Hussein postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hussein passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hussein tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hussein has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hussein swings around for an armbar but Vai Cavalo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hussein's guard. Vai Cavalo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Vai Cavalo trying to control the position from guard on top but Hussein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vai Cavalo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Vai Cavalo wants to get up but he can't break Hussein's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vai Cavalo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hussein swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hussein looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Vai Cavalo is defending well. Hussein quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Vai Cavalo has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Hussein celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
