Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Swarner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benson Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Swarner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Benson Pettis!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swarner looks to land a combination but Pettis avoids it well.
Swarner tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Pettis makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Swarner really felt that one!
Swarner tries to clinch but Pettis is having none of it.

Pettis shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Swarner manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Pettis throws a big elbow that misses.
Pettis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Pettis wants to control from the top but Swarner keeps moving.

Swarner on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Swarner tries to get out of the position.

Pettis gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Swarner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Pettis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Pettis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Swarner's waist but Swarner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pettis off to one side.
Swarner lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Swarner pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pettis back to the cage. Swarner follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Swarner fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pettis tries for a takedown but Swarner sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Pettis shoots in but Swarner avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bob Swarner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benson Pettis.

Pettis is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Swarner gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Pettis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Swarner walks away with a smile on his face. Pettis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Pettis gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Pettis drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Swarner misses with a body punch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A short body shot lands from Pettis as the two fighters clinch.
Swarner is looking to control Pettis's arms but Pettis gets an underhook and turns him. Now Swarner has his back to the cage.
Swarner can't break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bob Swarner will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Pettis fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Swarner to the ground. Pettis is now in Swarner's guard.
Pettis wants to control from the top but Swarner keeps moving.

Pettis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Pettis throws a hook to the side of Swarner's head but Swarner sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Pettis has a takedown stuffed.
Swarner tries to close the distance and clinch but Pettis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Swarner lands with a nice combination. Pettis backs away looking to recover.

Pettis moves into range and clinches up with Swarner.
Pettis stalling the fight.

Pettis ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pettis no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Pettis is looking for a triangle but Swarner pushes his legs off easily.
Swarner tries to free his leg and advance position but Pettis is retaining full guard.

That's time! Swarner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Swarner gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Pettis stands up and waves to Swarner to follow him.
Swarner scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Swarner lands with a nice combination. Pettis backs away looking to recover.
Pettis misses with a body shot.
Pettis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pettis has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Swarner throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Swarner on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Pettis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Swarner sprawls well. Swarner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pettis gets slowly back to his feet.
Swarner lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Swarner.
Pettis swats away the attempt to clinch by Swarner.
Pettis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Swarner as he jumps to the side.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Swarner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Swarner throws a series of punches but Pettis moves out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bob Swarner showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Swarner has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
