19 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Hanley Ramirez! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramirez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Giljotin. Ramirez connects with a single shot there. Ramirez throws a looping overhand right but Giljotin ducks down to avoid it. Ramirez throws a leg kick but Giljotin sees it coming and checks it nicely. Giljotin checks a low kick from Ramirez. No joy there for Ramirez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hanley Ramirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ramirez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Giljotin swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ramirez has taken the fight to the clinch.
Giljotin's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Ramirez lands a shot to the body. Ramirez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ramirez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Giljotin. Giljotin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ramirez as he jumps to the side. Ramirez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Giljotin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ramirez tries to avoid it but Giljotin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ramirez to the ground. Ramirez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Giljotin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Giljotin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Ramirez fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Giljotin checks it well. Ramirez misses with a looping right. Ramirez lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. The fighters circling - Ramirez throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Giljotin circles away from the clinch attempt.

Giljotin fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Giljotin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ramirez pinned against the cage. Ramirez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Giljotin shoots in for a takedown but Ramirez shows good takedown defense. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Giljotin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ramirez throws a sloppy head kick and Giljotin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Giljotin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Giljotin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
