Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Victor O Donnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ross Ridpath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Donnell comes to the ring accompanied by Cant be touched. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ridpath uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from O Donnell.
Ridpath looks for a takedown but O Donnell sprawls well.
Ridpath shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. O Donnell defends it nicely.
O Donnell scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
O Donnell throws a body punch but Ridpath moves out of range.

Ridpath shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with O Donnell but O Donnell pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Ridpath swings around for an armbar but O Donnell sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ridpath's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
O Donnell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ridpath can't do much from the bottom here.

That was a close round but I would say that Victor O Donnell will probably get the nod.

Ridpath walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

O Donnell darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

O Donnell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
O Donnell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ridpath sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten O Donnell somewhat.

A looping hook to the body misses from O Donnell. Ridpath does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ridpath dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Ridpath takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Horrible takedown by Ridpath or perhaps it was just good defense by O Donnell which made him look bad.

Victor O Donnell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ridpath sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed O Donnell's guard.

Ridpath is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but O Donnell still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, O Donnell has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

O Donnell is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ridpath is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Victor O Donnell spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
