The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phays defending well as Soares loads up on a big left hand.

Phays seems to have got his legs back now.
Soares throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Soares lunges at Phays with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Phays's hand.
Soares takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Phays throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Phays counters with a nice low kick that buckles Soares's knee momentarily.

Phays uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Soares.

Soares drops his hands momentarily and Phays needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Soares just on the top of the head. Soares drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Soares - he's done!
