Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Granada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Penduko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pedro Penduko is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rafael Granada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pedro Penduko! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penduko shoots for a double leg takedown but Granada sprawls well. He's pushed Penduko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Granada fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Penduko has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Granada throws out a powerful jab. Granada scores with a kick to the midsection. Granada tries to clinch but Penduko moves out of range. Penduko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pedro Penduko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Granada defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Penduko. Rafael Granada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Penduko. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Penduko. Granada lands with a thumping leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Penduko is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Granada tries to clinch up. Granada is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Penduko is defended easily by Granada. Penduko looks gassed! Penduko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Granada is fending him off so far but Penduko persists. Nope, Granada circles away and we're back to standing. Penduko swats away the attempt to clinch by Granada. Granada lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body kick from Granada. Penduko takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Granada lands a leg kick that knocks Penduko off balance momentarily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Granada lands a nice looking body shot.
Penduko takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. A chopping leg kick lands by Granada. Granada lands with a kick to the temple. Penduko shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Granada stuns Penduko with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Penduko is trying desperately to land a takedown but Granada is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Penduko. Granada bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Penduko walks into a left hand. Granada moves into the clinch. Granada working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Granada digs a right hand underneath Penduko's ribcage. Penduko let out a lung full of air as it connected. A short left from Granada. Granada lands on the inside with an uppercut. Granada lands with a short head shot on the inside. Granada gets through Penduko's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Granada scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Penduko is rocked! Granada dips a shoulder and cracks Penduko with a mighty uppercut! Penduko falls back against the cage and Granada unloads with a barrage of strikes! Penduko is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Granada screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rafael Granada!
