Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Drago Kozlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Kusimuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kozlov comes to the cage accompanied by Back in the USSR. Kusimuki has chosen National Anthem Of Japan as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drago Kozlov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Takeshi Kusimuki!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kusimuki checks a leg kick.
Kusimuki throws a shot from downtown. Kozlov moves away and avoids it.
Kusimuki cracks Kozlov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A big right from Kusimuki misses.
Kusimuki throws a half hearted mid kick.
Kozlov lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kusimuki at a distance.
Kusimuki throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kusimuki lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kozlov.
Kusimuki throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kusimuki slips a jab from Kozlov.
Kozlov closes the distance but Kusimuki moves to the side
and Kusimuki makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kusimuki throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kozlov blocks a head kick by Kusimuki.
Kusimuki throws a looping overhand right but Kozlov ducks down to avoid it.
A bone on bone clash there as Kusimuki blocks the leg kick.
Takeshi Kusimuki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kusimuki throws a nice looking combination but Kozlov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kozlov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kozlov throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Takeshi Kusimuki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kusimuki will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kusimuki looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kozlov lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kozlov throws a push kick but Kusimuki slaps the foot to one side.
Kusimuki misses with a low kick.
Kozlov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kusimuki closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Drago Kozlov has been cut.
Kusimuki fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kozlov on the side of the head.
Kozlov throws a leg kick that misses.
Kozlov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kusimuki connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kozlov scrambles back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kusimuki displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kozlov.
An inside leg kick from Kozlov misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kozlov connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kusimuki's hands.
Kusimuki misses with an uppercut.
Kusimuki throws a head kick that misses.
Kozlov is looking to score with low kicks.
Kusimuki fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kusimuki scores with a decent looking hook.


Kozlov is rocked!
Kusimuki plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Kozlov to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Kozlov just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Takeshi Kusimuki!
