PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Meeoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and R J MacReady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Meeoff might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to bawitaba. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meeoff throws a head kick that half lands.

and Meeoff counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Meeoff turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Meeoff manages to end up in side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
MacReady tries to improve position but can't.

Meeoff stands up and beckons MacReady to his feet.
MacReady takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
MacReady leaves Meeoff with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Meeoff escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. MacReady gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Meeoff will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

MacReady must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

MacReady lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Meeoff circles away quickly and effectively.

MacReady feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Meeoffs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
