Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Juan Corrida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Roth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corrida comes to the cage accompanied by Shadowhunter. Roth is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Shawn Michaels - Sexy Boy. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Corrida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Roth!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roth has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Corrida.
Roth tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Roth is defended easily by Corrida.
Corrida feints and then cracks Roth's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Roth down.
Corrida pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Corrida thows a body shot but no joy.
A solid leg kick lands there for Corrida.

Roth drives through and clinches with Corrida against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Roth is working Corrida over against the cage.

Corrida pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Corrida counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A low kick from Corrida is predictable there
and Roth counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Roth gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Corrida is trying to break the clinch but Roth has him pressed against the cage.
Roth tries to score a body lock takedown but Corrida shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Juan Corrida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Roth.
Roth stalling the fight.
Corrida pushes Roth back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Roth creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Corrida scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Corrida avoids a wild elbow strike from Roth.

Roth is struggling to control the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Roth misses with a hook to the ribs.
Corrida tries to work over Roth's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Corrida misses with some punches.
Corrida can't find room to land a body shot as Roth controls the action.
Corrida working aggressively here.
Corrida is pressed up against the cage. Roth has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Corrida down to the mat. Corrida avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Roth shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Roth throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Corrida tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Roth is in Corrida's guard.
Corrida lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Roth!
Roth is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Roth has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Roth tries to improve his position but Corrida has taken his back! Corrida has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Roth tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Corrida pushes Roth away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
