Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 46 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Ketchup!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chras Watsky!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ketchup moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Ketchup closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ketchup wants to pass to mount but Watsky is defending the position.
Ketchup wants to get back to his feet.
Watsky is looking to escape.
Watsky wants to control but Ketchup is keeping busy.
Ketchup thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Well, if Ketchup is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ketchup passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Watsky!

Ketchup scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Ketchup will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ketchup takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Watsky darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Ketchup moves into the clinch.
Ketchup is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Ketchup breaks from the clinch.
Ketchup misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ketchup avoids a punch combination nicely.
Watsky misses with a two punch combination.
Watsky misses the shot to the body.
Ketchup throws a head kick but Watsky moves out of range.

and Ketchup counters with a solid body kick.

Ketchup avoids a kick to the body.
No luck for Ketchup with that takedown attempt.
Ketchup swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Watsky wants to clinch.

Ketchup has Watsky up against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ketchup breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ketchup really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ketchup shoots in and bounces Watsky off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Ketchup is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Watsky's half guard.
Watsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ketchup. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ketchup stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Watsky is trying to get back to full guard.
Ketchup is controlling the pace.
Watsky is doing well to control the position and prevent Ketchup from advancing to side control.

The ref stands the fighters back up because John Ketchup just wasn't active enough.
Ketchup works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Ketchup moves into range and clinches up with Watsky.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ketchup takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Ketchup drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Watsky gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Ketchup has picked Watsky up - he's going for a ride! Ketchup dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Watsky works his way to full guard. Good work.
Ketchup is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Watsky being controlled here, momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ketchup stands and steps away. Watsky gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Watsky looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Watsky is looking to clinch but Ketchup is avoiding it.
Watsky shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ketchup cracks Watsky with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ketchup avoids a punch combination nicely.
Watsky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
John Ketchup is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Watsky shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ketchup defends it nicely.
Ketchup tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ketchup forces Watsky back against the cage and clinches.
Ketchup gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Watsky.
John Ketchup has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chras Watsky.

Ketchup manages to break the clinch.
Ketchup tries to close the distance and clinch up but Watsky swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ketchup fails with a takedown attempt.
Ketchup avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Ketchup throws a nice looking combination but Watsky bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Watsky walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ketchup.
Ketchup shoots in but no luck this time.

Ketchup moves into the clinch.

Ketchup escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chras Watsky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Watsky throws a chopping leg kick but Ketchup manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Ketchup shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ketchup looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Ketchup dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Watsky fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Watsky scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Ketchup changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Watsky looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ketchup has an Americana. Watsky didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Ketchup is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ketchup hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). John Ketchup!
