PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rob Dyrdek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silky Slapyaface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dyrdek's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dirty Girl. Rob Dyrdek had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dyrdek tries to work over Slapyaface's front leg with a kick but Slapyaface checks it.
Dyrdek swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dyrdek tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Dyrdek misses with a low kick.
Dyrdek tries to clinch but Slapyaface moves out of range.
Dyrdek lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Slapyaface is rocked!
Slapyaface throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Slapyaface is still on wobbly legs! Can Dyrdek finish him?

Dyrdek closes the distance and clinches.
Slapyaface tries to break the clinch but Dyrdek is controlling the position.

Dyrdek is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Slapyaface can't fight it off and eventually Dyrdek manages to take the fight to the floor. Slapyaface looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Slapyaface has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dyrdek can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Slapyaface is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Slapyaface seems to have recovered his senses.

Slapyaface wants to work for an arm triangle but Dyrdek is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Slapyaface wants to take a breather but Dyrdek manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Slapyaface.

and Slapyaface decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dyrdek's guard.

Slapyaface drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dyrdek looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dyrdek looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dyrdek!

Slapyaface takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
