Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rory Macdonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Tyler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rory Macdonald! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Macdonald doesn't manage to clinch there - Tyler circles away.
Tyler on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Rory Macdonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tyler takes the fight into the clinch. Tyler pulls guard effortlessly. Tyler manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Macdonald manages to get himself to full guard.
Tyler trying to control the position from guard on top but Macdonald is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tyler postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Tyler passes easily into side control. Nice work. Tyler creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Macdonald sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Macdonald prevents Tyler from moving into mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyler is looking to take a break and control but Macdonald is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Tyler landing a few strikes. You can see the frustration on Macdonald's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Tyler lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Tyler misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Macdonald can do anything to dispel that myth. Tyler cracks Macdonald with a big elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tyler throwing strikes but Macdonald manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Macdonald looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Tyler is avoiding damage well.
Macdonald wants to control but Tyler is keeping him busy. Tyler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Macdonald is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Who's going to make the next move? Tyler gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Tyler is pressing down on Macdonald's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Macdonald trying to control but Tyler is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tyler is on top in guard.
Macdonald looks gassed! Tyler trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Macdonald is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Tyler dives into side control.
Tyler scores with a couple of short elbows. Tyler working the ground and pound. Macdonald on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Tyler trying to control the position but Macdonald is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Macdonald is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Tyler is chipping away with strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tyler decides to stand back up. Tyler steps back and let's Macdonald get back to his feet. Tyler shoots in and bounces Macdonald off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Tyler stands up over Macdonald, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tyler throwing strikes from guard but Macdonald blocks nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Tyler dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Tyler shoots in for a takedown but Macdonald shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Tyler enables Macdonald to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tyler manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Tyler pulls Macdonald in close to prevent any damage. Macdonald keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tyler's head. Macdonald tries to free his leg and advance position but Tyler is retaining full guard. Macdonald trying to control but Tyler is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Macdonald throws an elbow that misses. Tyler uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Macdonald's guard. Nice move by Tyler! Macdonald is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyler is working Macdonald over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Tyler wants to stand but Macdonald has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Macdonald keeping moving, preventing Tyler from controlling successfully. Tyler scoring with punches to the head and body. Tyler trying to control the position from guard on top but Macdonald is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyler stands up from guard. Let's bang! Macdonald takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Rory Macdonald has been cut. Tyler tries to clinch but Macdonald moves out of range. Macdonald missing with a left hand there. Tyler was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Macdonald stuffs the takedown attempt from Tyler. Tyler gets slowly back to his feet. A head kick misses from Tyler. Tyler swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Tyler takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tyler is looking to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyler shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Tyler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Macdonald looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Tyler keeping moving, preventing Macdonald from controlling successfully. Macdonald throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tyler is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Macdonald throwing strikes but missing. Macdonald looking to sit in guard and control but Tyler gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyler trying to control the position from guard on top but Macdonald is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Tyler stays in close to Macdonald's body and controls the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jake Tyler just wasn't active enough. Tyler shoots in but Macdonald avoids the takedown attempt easily. Tyler walks into a left hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jake Tyler will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Rory Macdonald's cut. That's time! Tyler's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Tyler scores with a head kick. Macdonald tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Macdonald connects with a body shot that sends Tyler's belly button to the back. Macdonald lands a glancing blow to the side of Tyler's head. Macdonald connects with a looping right hand.
A combination from Macdonald does no damage. Tyler misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Tyler fails to land the takedown. Tyler tries a head kick but it misses.
Macdonald lands with an overhand left. Macdonald paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Tyler looks for a takedown but Macdonald sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Tyler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Macdonald moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macdonald throws a low kick but Tyler avoids it. Tyler misses with a head kick.
Macdonald moves in looking to clinch but Tyler pushes him off. Nice straight punches there by Macdonald. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Macdonald. Tyler takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Tyler fails with a takedown attempt. Tyler gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Macdonald to score an easy takedown into full guard. Macdonald trying to control the position from guard on top but Tyler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tyler looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyler tries to land a sweep but no joy. Macdonald looking to pass the guard. Macdonald trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Macdonald trying to control but Tyler is working from the bottom. Macdonald is looking to advance position but Tyler has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Tyler goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Macdonald turns into him and now he's in Tyler's guard.
Rory Macdonald has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Macdonald must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Macdonald being controlled here momentarily. Macdonald lying in Tyler's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Tyler decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Macdonald taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
