Chinaski comes to the cage accompanied by Gustav Mahler - Symphony No. 9: Mov. 4. Kiuga has chosen Wish as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hank Chinaski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Toa Kiuga!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chinaski shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kiuga checks a leg kick.
Toa Kiuga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Kiuga. Those never looked like landing.
Chinaski bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kiuga ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chinaski moves away.
Kiuga misses with a two punch combination.
Chinaski lands with a straight right. Kiuga didn't see that one coming.
Chinaski moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Chinaski defending well as Kiuga loads up on a big left hand.
Chinaski throws a leg kick but Kiuga sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Chinaski bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Chinaski throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Kiuga dodges the ground and pound from Chinaski.

Chinaski throws an elbow but Kiuga slips to the side and avoids it well.
Chinaski sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Kiuga is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Chinaski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Chinaski swings around for an armbar but Kiuga sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Chinaski's guard.
Chinaski manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Kiuga is bucking up trying to escape but Chinaski cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Kiuga can't escape the position.
Chinaski breaks from Kiuga's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chinaski tries to control but Kiuga wriggling away.
Poor strikes thrown by Chinaski there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Kiuga is squirming around, avoiding Chinaski's attempts to control the action.
Chinaski is really struggling to control Kiuga but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Kiuga avoids a series of strikes thrown by Chinaski.

Kiuga is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kiuga is still in real trouble! Can Chinaski finish him?

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Chinaski misses with a head shot.
Kiuga seems to have recovered his senses.
Chinaski misses with some ground and pound and Kiuga recovers position to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's time! Chinaski's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Chinaski uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kiuga.
A big right from Kiuga misses.
Kiuga has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Chinaski.
Chinaski moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Chinaski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kiuga.
Chinaski ducks under a wild hook from Kiuga.
Chinaski connects with the punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chinaski lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Chinaski throws out a powerful jab.
No luck for Chinaski with that takedown attempt.
Chinaski throws a shot to the body.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Chinaski, right into the meat.

A head kick lands from Chinaski that sends Kiuga to the canvas. Kiuga tries to scramble back to his feet but Chinaski brings him back down into side control.
Kiuga is breathing heavily.
Chinaski passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Kiuga!
Chinaski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kiuga can do to turn this around?

Chinaski looking to secure an arm triangle but Kiuga defends it well.
Chinaski loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Kiuga scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Chinaski land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Chinaski stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hank Chinaski!
