Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jill Lauren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lauren has chosen Crazy as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marvin Perez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jill Lauren! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lauren closes the distance and lands a one-two. Perez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Perez avoids a punch combination nicely.

Lauren tries to close the distance and clinch up but Perez swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lauren looks to land a combination. Perez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Lauren looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Lauren cracks the inside of Perez's front leg. Perez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Lauren has hold of Perez's hands but Perez slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Lauren is trying to stand up here but Perez is controlling him well. Lauren trying to control from the bottom.
Perez trying to control from half guard but Lauren is working away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lauren is looking to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Perez lands a nice short elbow. Perez is looking to take a break and control but Lauren is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lauren avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Perez. Perez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lauren knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Perez lands with a punch from half guard. Lauren is staying active underneath Perez, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lauren wants to get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lauren taking some punishment here, with Perez in his half guard. Perez scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Lauren is looking for a sweep. Perez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lauren looking for submissions off his back. Perez is keen to just control but Lauren is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perez is really struggling to control Lauren but he's trying to hold on to the position. Perez working over Lauren with some ground and pound. Lauren looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. This has been an exciting period of action! Lauren is looking to escape. Perez looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Perez controlling the pace. Perez scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Perez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lauren keeps working. Perez working the head and body with strikes. Lauren pushes Perez off looking to stand but Perez dives back in and keeps control.

Lauren manages to escape and get back to his feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lauren will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lauren lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Nice takedown defense from Lauren. No joy for Perez on that attempt. Perez looking to score a takedown here. Lauren is defending well but Perez drives through and ends up in Lauren's guard. Perez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lauren on the ground. Lauren looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Perez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lauren keeping moving, preventing Perez from controlling successfully. Lauren had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Perez defends it easily. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Perez's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Perez wants to control from the top but Lauren keeps moving. Lauren throws his legs up looking for a submission but Perez uses it to pass to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perez connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lauren some visible discomfort.
Lauren is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Perez's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Perez working Lauren over with strikes. Lauren is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Perez is tapping! Great win for Lauren!
